Below are general eligibility guidelines for our services. If you have any questions regarding eligibility, please give us a call. We are happy to answer any questions.
LifeWorks provides therapy services to children ages 3 and up, adolescents and adults. These services may be provided through individual, couples, and family sessions. We have experienced therapists to meet a variety of needs.
Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS)
Children (ages 3-21) who have Title 19 (Medicaid) and have a mental health diagnosis are eligible for BHIS. If your child has not been formally diagnosed with a mental health condition, you may schedule an appointment for an assessment in our office to determine whether BHIS would be an appropriate service for your family.
Any family interested in BHIS must first have an LPHA (a type of assessment). At LifeWorks, this is completed by your child’s therapist or the BHIS Coordinator if you do not have an ongoing therapist. If you are already working with a therapist elsewhere, please ask him/her if they would like to complete the LPHA or if they would like it to be completed at LifeWorks.
Based on the assessment, discussion with the family, and clinical review with Magellan, a decision is made about whether BHIS is clinically appropriate.
