    • The Serious Stuff...

      Alex received her Bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and her Masters of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults through individual, group, and family sessions. Alex has worked with clients with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health needs, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, as well as working with justice-involved clients. Alex has completed the Safe Zone Training through One Iowa. Before joining LifeWorks, Alex worked in a variety of settings, including working at a state hospital, community mental health agency, residential co-occurring substance abuse, and mental health facility, and within the criminal justice setting.

      Alex’s passion is assisting children and adolescents, as well as their families, with trauma, attachment, relationships, anxiety, and depression. She has training in a multitude of therapy approaches and works with her clients to determine the best fit to help them reach their desired goals.

    • The Fun Stuff

      Alex was born and raised in Iowa and enjoys exploring her home state, as well as traveling around the United States. In her free time, Alex enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting her friends and family, and attending concerts. She also loves playing board games, using her creative expression, and becoming lost in a great novel.
