Hello! Alyssa is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). She received her Master of Social Work degree from Walden University in 2019. She is also certified as an International Alcohol and Drug Counselor and has worked in the addiction field since 2013. She has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including medical, residential, outpatient and inpatient. She likes to utilize a range of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and mindfulness. These modalities can help to provide more insight into your life and ways to manage distress.
It can be hard to ask for help, but you do not have to go through this alone! Individual therapy gives you a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings and concerns. Alyssa hopes to help you develop coping strategies, feel empowered and make healthier choices.
Alyssa is providing in person and telehealth sessions in the Ankeny office.

In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and friends. She also likes baking, watching movies and spending time outdoors.
