The Serious Stuff…
Andrew Hopper started his career in the education field before moving into the counseling profession. After leaving the education field, Andrew transitioned into become a substance abuse counselor then became a school-based therapist and now works in office-based services working with adults and teens struggling with a variety of areas. He has been continuing to work and develop his passion for teen and adult mental health including anxiety, depression, substance use issues, and life transitions. Andrew will work to try and create a warm and inviting atmosphere for his clients using a variety of interventions using a combination from an eclectic approach, all with a person-centered focus. He wants to be able to help empower individuals to be able to take control of their own lives and learn about themselves as they look towards their futures.
Andrew sees clients at our West Des Moines Clinic.
The Fun Stuff…
When Andrew is not working, he loves to spend his free time with his wife and their dog Hero. He and his wife love to take short adventures all around the United States, and they love going on hikes with their dog. They also love playing murder mystery games, and they are a huge puzzle family. Andrew personally loves to spend his free time playing video games and geeking out to the latest tv shows and movies.
