The Serious Stuff
Angela received her Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Iowa and her Undergraduate degree from the University of Houston. In addition to her LMHC, she has a PK-12 Certification in Teaching, Counseling, and Administration. Angela enjoys working with children and adolescents ages 8-18, and their families. Angela’s work at LifeWorks is influenced by Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Rogerian Theories. Angela has a special interest in assisting young adults working on self-esteem issues, goal-setting, and other emerging adulthood challenges. Prior to joining LifeWorks, Angela has worked over 23 years in Education as a teacher and counselor.
Angela sees clients in the Des Moines office.
The Fun Stuff
Angela has been married for over 21 years she and her husband have boy/girl twins. Their twins are active teenagers that keep Angela on her toes. When she’s not chasing them around getting them to do their homework or clean their room she enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. When she has the opportunity to sit down and watch any sporting event, you’ll find her rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes or the Denver Broncos.
