The Serious Stuff…

Greg is a temp licensed Mental Health counselor (T-LMHC) with a Master’s degree of Arts in Professional Counseling degree. Additionally Greg has a Master’s degree in Fine Arts as he has worked as a professor of art and as a professional artist for 23 years prior to his journey into counseling. Greg is Lead Facilitator/Program Director of the Lessons of Art: Art as therapy for Cancer Survivors here in Des Moines a program in collaboration with Above and Beyond Cancer. He has experience working with a wide diversity of adults and teens including those with physical and mental disabilities, trauma, anxiety, depression, veterans, refugees, chronic illness and the LGBTQ community. Greg’s focus is strength-based strategies with an interest in fostering nurturing, creative and collaborative relationships. Greg loves working with couples and families, individuals, adolescents and adults seeking help to cope with life transitions, growth, relationship challenges, and those looking for a path to their higher selves.

Greg sees clients in both the Ankeny and Des Moines offices.


The Fun Stuff…

Greg continues his creativity through art making in his free time as well. Greg’s hobbies outside the office include disc golf, cycling, mushroom foraging and music. He loves being outside in-nature, seeing friends and traveling to visit his family for activities in the great NW.
