The Serious Stuff…
Lauren is interested in working with patients who struggle with anxiety, depression, attachment disorders, adjustment disorders, and anger management among other mental health disorders. She is able to work with both adults and children of all ages, but her clinical focus is geared more toward children at this time.
Lauren likes to work with clients using a combination of multiple therapeutic approaches. Her most commonly used approaches include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, modeling, and role-plays. Lauren believes the best results come from a trusting relationship between the therapist and client, ensuring that each client feels as comfortable as possible when they walk into her office.
Lauren sees clients out of the West Des Moines office.
The Fun Stuff…
When I am not at work you can usually find me on a volleyball court somewhere. I play in leagues across the Des Moines area and coach a competitive traveling team for Ohana Volleyball Club in Grimes. I also like to try new restaurants with my husband or go on walks with my boston terrier, Jax!
